Building Power for Women in the Trades

The Sisterhood of Carpenters Association (SOCA) connects, supports, and amplifies women in the carpentry trade through community, education, and shared resources.

Who We Are

SOCA is a community-driven organization built by and for women in the carpentry trade. Based in the greater St. Louis area, we create space for sisters in the trades to connect, grow, and lift each other up.

Whether you're an apprentice just starting out or a journeywoman with decades on the job, SoCA is your home base — a place to find mentorship, resources, and a network that has your back.

What We Do

Community

We bring sisters together through meetups, events, and an online hub where tradeswomen can share experiences, ask questions, and build real connections.

Education

From microlearning modules to hands-on workshops, we provide accessible training and skill-building opportunities designed for women in the trades.

Advocacy

We amplify the voices of women carpenters and advocate for equitable treatment, safer job sites, and greater representation across the industry.

Sisterhood Soundcheck

We're raising $10,000 to build the foundation SOCA needs to serve our community — a dedicated website, microlearning modules, and mentoring events that connect sisters across the trade.

Every dollar moves us closer to a stronger sisterhood.
